For over 60 years, Viking Tours of Newport has set the standard for narrated tours of Newport. May – November is when our tour guides are utilized the most. They are the ambassador to Viking Tours and will not only provide guests with their knowledge of Newport but also escort them to local mansions, lunches, and events that the group has planned for their visit to Newport.
Perfect for retirees & people who love Newport and want to share their enthusiasm for our rich history!
What do we look for in a tour guide?
- Knowledge of the Newport area is helpful. The right candidates will be trained by our professional guides in a relaxed setting.
- Must love being a customer-oriented people person with no fear of public speaking.
- Great tour guides will share their knowledge in an engaging, interactive, and entertaining way
- Excellent communication skills
- Creative thinker and capable of improvisation

REQUIRED LICENSE CERTIFICATION:
CDL A or B WITH PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT
Knowledge of the Newport area is helpful but not required. Must love being a customer oriented people person.
